Doors Open at Lakelands Shopping Centre – Western Australia

The new $50 million Lakelands Shopping Centre opened its doors to hundreds of waiting shoppers and is now the largest shopping centre between Mandurah and Rockingham south of Perth.
The 20,000sqm centre is anchored by Coles, K-Mart and ALDI and boasts more than 40 specialty stores.

In addition to the big brand names, the new Lakelands Shopping Centre also offers a great mix of retailers including a newsagency, nail bar, pharmacy, local fruit and vegetable shop, patisserie, surf shop, clothing shops, gift shops and more.

As Mirage Doors are a specified supplier to Coles and Kmart nationally, our Perth Branch was approached to supply and install our Series 3 Aluminium roller shutters to a range of shops in this centre as well as our SD range of side closures.

 

IBM Tower Southbank – Melbourne

Mirage Doors was contracted by Brookfield Global on the upgrade of the IBM Tower Southbank multi-purpose office space, to provide a glazed moveable wall to separate the area’s when needed.

Mirage designed and installed a 6 meter wide x 2.7 meter glazed counter weighted bifold door, with side and bottom seals, that could divide or open the area at the push of a button. The large glass area kept the open feel to the office space while providing sound deadening between the spaces when closed.

RACV CAPE SCHANCK RESORT DEVELOPMENT

Kane Construction have recently completed a new resort development for RACV on the existing Cape Schanck property. The $135 million Lump Sum project consisted of the construction of 30,000m2 of new building over five levels.
The redevelopment zone was an irregular shape comprising approximately 7.6ha and includes the existing RACV clubhouse facility, car park (110 spaces) and golf driving range.
The new building provides panoramic views of the Bass Straight and Port Phillip Bay, and includes the following elements:
• 120 new accommodation rooms in a new main resort building
• Main restaurant (140 capacity)
• Lounge (60 capacity)
• Café (100 capacity)
• Indoor and outdoor sitting areas
• Underground and at grade car parking
• Conference & function rooms (500 capacity)
• Pro shop, change rooms and lockers
• Indoor pool & spa

Mirage Doors were contracted to supply two large sliding gates for the main carpark entrance, two S1500 Bifold doors and a pedestrian door and cladding for the loading area, a S1500 Bifold door for the golf cart entrance, internal Aluminium Roller Shutters, two sets of swing gates, and cladding for the bike storage area.

Debenhams Melbourne Store

Premium UK retailer Debenhams has opened its first Australian store in Melbourne, offering a suite of exclusive designers and new services and technologies to attract customers. The 3600 square metre store is located in the basement of the St Collins Lane mall in Collins Street, and apart from a clutch of labels and designers never seen in the Australian market, Debenhams is offering innovative new services that will distinguish its offering from locals. Staff will carry mobile point-of-sale devices so sales can be completed anywhere in the store and customers will no longer be forced to wait in a queue to make a transaction. And a new Debenhams Australia app will enable shoppers to create a wishlist of items that will be ready and waiting to be tried on.

Mirage Doors were engaged to manufacture and install an 11.3 meter wide, Perforated Series 3 Aluminium roller shutter to provide maximum store access. The door required a custom shaped tapered bottom rail to match the floor line. Careful planning was required to deliver and manoeuvre the door into place in the busy Collins lane area. The result was spectacular.

Emanuel College Point Cook – Victoria

Becon construction were engaged to develop a new stadium for Emanuel College in Point Cook.

Mirage Doors were contracted to provide 3 x S5000 series glazed vertical lift doors to the façade to provide open access and airflow to the stadium.

These included protection canopies for the motorisation and drive shafts and glazing to match the adjacent façade.

Bunjil Place – Melbourne

It is a place to be inspired by the innovative, experience the new, rediscover the past, be entertained by talent, feel challenged by different ideas and engage in culture and community.
Mirage Doors supplied a 9.9 meter and 8.6 meter fully D Slotted Roller shutters for the entrance, and six additional Roller Shutters for the centre in Narre Warren in the South East corridor of Melbourne.

Retail Activation District – Melbourne

The retail precinct offers a diverse, urban food and beverage experience for students, staff and the general public with a tenant mix that’s progressive, forward-thinking, innovative and boutique.

Mirage Doors were approached by Lend Lease to provide a solution for a pop up kitchen in the new RMIT area. Mirage proposed and supplied 3 fully external counter weighted Bifold doors to meet the architectural cladding requirements and open servery area.

Lakelands Shopping Centre – Western Australia

The new Lakelands Shopping Centre opened its doors to hundreds of waiting shoppers and is now the largest shopping centre between Mandurah and Rockingham south of Perth.

The 20,000sqm centre is anchored by Coles, K-Mart and ALDI and boasts more than 40 specialty stores. It is also much more than a shopping centre – it’s a community space providing a wide range of services with a childcare centre, library, a range of medical professionals, travel agency, restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets, beauty salons and even a 24/7 gym.

Mirage Doors was the majority supplier of shop front doors for this development working closely with Focus Buiding to deliver 21 doors on time to support the opening of this store. Doors supplied included Series 3 perforated Roller Shutters, Series 2 Aluminium Roller Shutters, SD300 side closing Doors, and Steel Roller Shutters for loading docks.

 

Harbour Town Melbourne – Docklands

Enjoy the open-air spaces and laneways of Harbour Town Melbourne – home to a range of specialty stores and outlets, foodies, restaurants and entertainment. Located in the Docklands, Harbour Town Melbourne is easily accessible and is located right next to the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel and O’Brien Group Arena.

Harbour Town Melbourne has commenced it’s $150 million re-development to reinvigorate the Centre. The Centre has already undergone a significant ambient and aesthetic refurbishment to create a comfortable, all-weather retail and entertainment precinct. This has seen the addition of bluestone and timber floors, a weatherproof roof structure and the incorporation of planting and laneway-style greening. The ambience works continue with the Docklands Drive entrances currently seeing significant works to extend the weatherproof roof and add grand entrance doors.

Mirage Doors were chosen to supply and install two 6.7M x 4.4M glazed S3000 Bifold counter weight doors as the main entrance doors to the newly developed precinct.

EQ Towers – Melbourne

EQ Tower is a 63 level development that includes 633 apartments, a ground level retail precinct and residents lobby, six levels of car parking and showcases a spectacular 360 degree view of Melbourne CBD.

EQ has many ecologically sustainable development features including photovoltaic solar panels, rainwater harvesting and re-use, water efficient fixtures and appliances and high performance double glazing throughout.

Mirage Doors was engaged by Multiplex to supply two counterweight doors for the car park entrances to the building.  The series 1500 Fully Recessed doors were designed to provide maximum clear opening height and zero external protrusion for the building, to reduce set back of the doors.  These doors were custom clad to match the building cladding.
